Tata delivers A-GPS Service

TeleCommunication Systems Inc (TCS) (Nasdaq:TSYS), a provider of wireless communications technology, announced on Monday (27 April) its location-based infrastructure and Xypoint software are used by Tata Teleservices Limited, a service provider in India, for its QUICKFINDER A-GPS (Assisted Global Positioning System) service.

The location-based service will be available exclusively to Tata Indicom subscribers and will also utilise Qualcomm's (Nasdaq:QCOM) QPoint solution and gpsOne technology integrated into Qualcomm chipsets
